How to Get Six Sigma Certification

Six Sigma is a unique strategic approach that can be used to optimize and make effective all sorts of processes followed by a company to deliver its services or products. It addresses company functions, products, and industries. The Six Sigma methodology is made up of technical as well as managerial components. The management side emphasizes on getting the right process metrics and goals, all the while focusing on the right people and projects. Six Sigma teaches how to successfully use management systems to complete the projects and maintain the profits. The technical side focuses on improving the average level of process performance, reducing variation with the help of statistical thinking and methods, process data, and a ‘process improvement methodology’. This unique and interesting methodology has 5 key stages and they are ‘define, measure, analyze, improve and control’.

The statistical as well as other types of tools are uniquely linked and sequenced to make them effective as well as user-friendly. This entire Six Sigma exercise helps to identify key process drivers and is made simpler by relying on software such as Minitab for the calculations.
